The FiiO KA13 comes in a sleek, minimalistic box, featuring the FiiO branding at the front. Inside, you’re greeted with the DAC itself, neatly packed and protected.”

The DAC comes in two colours the “Midnight Black” and “Dawn Silver”

Inside the box, you’ll find the DAC unit, a USB Type-C to Type-C Cable, Type-C to Lightning Cable, Type-C to USB-A Cable, Warranty Card and a handy user manual guide.

Overall the packaging feels premium and everything you need to get started in included.

The FiiO KA13 has a sleek and modern look – it’s small, compact, and lightweight, which makes it perfect for on-the-go use. It featuring a premium metallic chassis and a distinctive glass window that showcase RGB ambient light. Its soft to hold and has a futuristic appearance, the design is overall is stunning.

The DAC offers dual output options, supporting both single-ended 3.5mm and balanced 4.4mm headphone connection ports. The 3.5mm output also functions as a coaxial SPDIF output. There is an USB-C port is used to connect to your device, whether it’s a smartphone, laptop, or tablet.

The Buttons on the side perform dual functions, for short press they function like a volume control and for long press it assists in changing the tracks. Next to it is the desktop mode button which when toggled on turns this tiny portable DAC in to a Beast. Will talk more about this in the later sections.

The FiiO KA13 DAC features a premium dual DAC chipset with dual CS43131, 32-bit DAC chips, which is known for its high-resolution audio processing, ensuring crystal-clear decoding of Hi-Res sound signals.

This portable DAC incorporates a mini desktop-class amplifier, turned on by the D.Mode switch next to the volume control buttons, which enables the DAC to effortlessly power most IEMs and even some power-demanding headphones.
